Creating my own ePortfolio in the MED program at Lamar University provides me with several things. I get experience creating something of my very own that I can use as I continue to grow in my career and my learning journey. I will also be able to use it as a tool to convince my district to let me pilot my innovation plan in my classroom. I will be able to use it to look at my plan, goals, and creations over time to see how much I have grown and accomplished. My students and my organization will be able to refer back to it to see all of the research, time and effort I have put into my plan because of how strongly I feel it will help them and education as we know it now. It will not only be there to show my work and be a model for my students, but it will also be there to show different elements of myself reflections and different components to show how important and useful an ePortfolio is and can be. I hope that they can use my ePortfolio to see how I am embracing challenges to change the routines we have currently in school to make a better learning environment for my students. This will help them become self-directed learners who strive to continue to learn more daily.
